One reason you cannot easily part-time do a startup is that so many of the best, clever ideas occur somewhat spontaneously. You sort of look at all the possible angles over a span of 12-18 months and one day, while looking at a tree, the proverbial apple bonks you on head.

In startups, once you find THE core feature users love, it’s often a grind to 100 updates until the product works well for most people. You can take comfort knowing the next 100 things are worth it because you’ll hear about it every day when you talk to users & look at the graphs

My friend @faraz_r_khan had a great point today: there are some startups where if you simply made a quick MVP of the product, it would be absolute garbage (game streaming) but if you make 300+ optimizations and carefully grind at it, you'll make something truly incredible.
