There is a fundamental difference between pharma drugs, which are designed to treat or ameliorate disease, and vitamins/minerals which are required to prevent disease. When you design a trial with a drug, you are looking at the efficacy of the drug in treating a disease.

Incredibly interesting result here. Combining rapamycin with exercise didn't help and may have even impaired exercise adaptations in older adults! Reminds me of metformin (also once marketed as a "longevity drug"), which also blunts exercise adaptations in certain contexts.
