It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy! Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.

A more aspirational version championed by Apple’s design team used even more glass, instead of metal, but was scrapped early on. The company encountered problems connecting glass panels together. The design didn’t hold up when Apple had to figure out how to mass-produce it.

In September, Apple is poised to debut its first foldable iPhone, a device that’s expected to cost $2,000-plus. A monthly price of somewhere between $60 and $70 for that phone will seem a lot more palatable.

Looking ahead, there is ongoing work on a bigger rethink to the Apple Watch, but I wouldn’t expect that to arrive for another year or two. And Apple is still moving toward getting a blood-sugar feature to the market this decade, making good on a project conceived in the Jobs era.

Apple is also planning M5 Pro + M6 Mac mini and M5 Max + M5 Ultra Mac Studio, but their configurations and release timing are fairly tied to the memory shortage. Current models don’t ship for three months.
