here is some constructive good faith criticism on The Plain Dealer’s dalliance with AI generated imagery. journalism has a brand problem,. do you really want to dilute your already struggling brand with homogenized genAI imagery so your journalism looks exactly moisturizer ads?

the non DLSS 5 pic looks closer because like a model’s selfie, it is lit with intention people are forgetting: lighting in real life is often ugly. photographs, film are lit using makeup, angles etc everyone hates the game of thrones night scenes lit for realistic “immersion”
