What Europe should do right now: 1. Call all the European researchers working on AI and return them back with same salary (or they can stay but switch career). 2. Fill EU places having GPUs with money, and put those people there. 3. AI partnerships with China + India.

I look at the web today. Not as a programmer, but as a user of broken sites that are unable to obey the most basic rules of navigation and usability, terribly slow despite the hardware progresses. And I can only think that modern frontend development has failed.

Quality of Opus 5 is crucial for Anthropic. Anthropic bad times didn't start with Fable, but with Opus 4.7-8 terrible quality. Opus 4.6 was a great general purpose model, but it too struggled at coding VS GPT o the same time. Opus 5 will be "fix or break" in pre-IPO times.

First impressions on DeepSeek v4 pro used via Claude Code. It is great but not so cheap compared to how much tokens you get with the OpenAI 200$ subscription. More or less I burned 1$ per hour of intense usage.
